Christmas Decorations

Thanksgiving is past, the flurry of shopping that goes with Black Friday has left everyone washed out, and preparations for Christmas have begun (except for those of you who began preparing this summer--you're excused from this discussion). So the question now is, "Did you start your Christmas decorating before Thanksgiving, or are you a traditionalist like me who lets the rush from one holiday die down before starting on the next one?"

The only way I'll know is if you leave a comment, so please do so. I promise not to spam you. I won't even make fun of you. But take a moment out of your schedule to let me know.

Oh, and while you're at the keyboard, you might have a quick look at my novella, Silent Night, Deadly Night, which is set in the period between Christmas and New Year's. Or consider buying my latest novel, Miracle Drug, either for a Christmas present or for yourself.

Tweet with a single click: "Do you start Christmas decorating after Thanksgiving, or are you already done?" Click here to tweet.

I put up my tree the day before Thanksgiving. We go to my parents' house the weekend before Thanksgiving to celebrate so everyone can get together. I'm also off that week so it makes sense to decorate wile I'm at home lol.

Also, when I click to tweet, it posts to twitter, but when I click the link it doesn't bring me back here. Says page I'm looking for doesn't exist. This happened last time I clicked to tweet too. Probably something I'm doing wrong.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I love your posts.

Sally, sounds like you did what needed to be done, considering your schedule.

I always check the "click to tweet" link before adding it to a post, then do it again the morning that post goes up--no problem. It worked again when I just checked it. Sorry it wouldn't work for you. Aren't computers wonderful?

Thanks for your comment.

I usually put my tree up after Thanksgiving. This is after I help my sister put hers up on Thanksgiving day. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!

Patricia, ours isn't up yet, but I suspect it will be soon. The interior decorating is Kay's department. Then we both work on the outside lights, which we can do pretty quickly. And, yes, we had a very nice Thanksgiving. We finished the last of the turkey, dressing, and green bean casserole left-overs Sunday.

We usually wait until the week before Christmas, but this year we put up our tree and decorations the day after Thanksgiving. This was the first time in a few years everyone was home for Thanksgiving so we did a little Christmas too!
