The tragic events at Fort Hood make this an especially moving Veterans Day. For hundreds of years, brave men and women have put themselves in harm's way--at home and abroad-- to defend our country and protect our liberty. Please pause for a moment and give thanks for the men and women who have served America in her armed forces. I'm proud to be among their number. May those efforts never be forgotten, nor be in vain, and may God bless America.

Thank you for your service to our country!
Thank you for your service, Richard.
I paid tribute to veterans at my blog today. They deserve it.
God bless you! And may He bless the other men and women who are serving now or have served in the past.
We are blessed with the freedom that others have purchased for us. If we do not reflect on our history and learn from it, our future freedom is in doubt. Today is an important commemoration in both of our countries.
